Plant Care, Gently
Good plant care is rarely complicated. A small, regular rhythm—light, water, airflow and attention—does most of the work.
Read the light
Place each plant according to the light it receives, not simply where there is space. Bright, indirect light suits many indoor plants; direct sun is best introduced gradually.
Water with intention
Check the soil before watering. When the upper layer feels dry, water slowly and evenly until excess can drain away. Empty standing water from saucers to help roots breathe.
Keep drainage clear
Use a pot with drainage where possible and choose a well-aerated potting mix suited to your plant. Healthy roots need both moisture and oxygen.
Make it a ritual
Once a week, take a moment to turn your plants, wipe dust from leaves and look for new growth. These small observations are the most reliable care guide you can have.
